Fabrication of Time – The Internet?

Ok, so I absolutely love this time stamp editing on blogs… makes for a wild experience on the reading side. With the construction of this site, it makes it so easy to fabricate posts… but this brings up an interesting problem… How can someone guarantee that the time listed on a post is REALLY the time it was posted… i.e. someone makes a claim or a prediction, but then later changes that prediction, alters a post, ect. Only those who took pictures would have “proof.” However, in this day and age, such trivialities can be edited via programs like Photoshop and MSPaint, ect… Makes an interesting dilemma, aye? What time was this idea truly created/posted? Who was first? Was it accurate? Only implications and context can truly bring forth these attributes…
